The BIG Event Kickoff- Required for all volunteers

Saturday, April 9th, 2022 from 8:30am to 10:00am (CT)


The BIG Event is a nationally recognized day of volunteering on the St. Edward's University campus. It aims to promote community engagement, teambuilding, and service within the Hilltop.

Come and celebrate the kickoff of BIG Event with breakfast tacos and our Welcoming Ceremony! Check-in for the day will begin promptly at 8:30 am and the event will begin at 9:00 am in the St. Edward's University Alumni Gym.

Masks will be optional for the duration of the event when you are not actively eating and drinking but will still need to display your yellow badge on the Topper Safe app.

Be sure to bring your reusable water bottle.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
