Natasha @ Minority Women Pursuing Law

I worked as an usher for a talk by the renowned Chinese artist Xu Bing, and helped manage guests and visitors during the event. It was a very rewarding experience to engage in a part of intellectual discourse!

    Natasha @ Texas UNICEF

This event was the annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. On Halloween night, we mapped out various neighborhoods and went door to door trick or treating except only for donations for UNICEF. All the proceeds go to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and last year, the funds were used to buy the following items: hand-pump for water, vaccines (measles, malaria, tetanus, polio), HIV test kits and more.
I found this a great experience to not only raise money for a worthy cause, but to get to talk to people and share this great cause during a holiday.

    Air Force ROTC

During the Valero Open, we volunteered in the parking lot. We parked cars and managed traffic for the event. Since it was such a large event, it required us to be really efficient with our resources and our time. I learned a lot while volunteering here.

It was good to think about the less fortunate and make an effort to help them out in any little way possible this year.

Natasha @ Nepal Earthquake Relief Fundraiser

This was my first day volunteering for the Earthquake fundraiser. It was rewarding to see such small efforts could go a long way. Especially since it was such a personal cause for me since I am from and was raised in Nepal myself, it made me really happy that my own university had an organization that was directly sending help to those in need. I tried to help in any way that I could.

Natasha @ Nepal Earthquake Relief Fundraiser

This was the very last day of fundraising and NSA needed to finish and finalize many things. After 2 hours of regular tabling and asking for donations, we spent pretty much the rest of the day - counting the money raised, depositing it to the bank account, and deciding which organizations would be the best to donate money to. This was a very rewarding experience for me to see how such non-profit organizations work and the possible ways for everyone to be involved.
